Research
Faculty Research
Scientists at NYUAD pursue both fundamental and applied research, advancing understanding from the molecular to the cosmic scale. Their interdisciplinary work drives discovery and innovation across biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, and psychology.
Multidisciplinary Research
The NYUAD Research Institute is a world-class center of cutting-edge and innovative research, scholarship, and cultural activity. Faculty from the Division of Science collaborate with other leading faculty and researchers from across disciplines to form multidisciplinary centers that address questions of global signficance and local relevance.
Research Institute Centers involving faculty from the Division of Science:
Facilities and Infrastructure
NYUAD has dedicated significant resources to developing one of the premier science and engineering research institutions in the region. An integral component of the laboratories are the Core Technology Platforms, which are shared facilities that support research activities across disciplines; and the Center for Research Computing which serves the community with High Performance Computing and research computing services.
Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Research is an integral part of the undergraduate experience at NYUAD and research opportunities are threaded throughout all six academic programs in the Division of Science.
Capstone Research
The Capstone Project is one of the culminating experiences for all students at NYUAD. It is a demanding, year-long endeavor that every science student completes in their fourth year.
Students work closely with one of our many research labs or groups to produce a signficant piece of research that is presented at the annual Science Capstone Festival.
