Summer Research and Internships Abroad
Experiential Learning — Over 750 Students Participated in Summer Research and Internships Across 60 Countries in 2025.
Summer experiential learning abroad at NYU Abu Dhabi allows students to engage with global communities while gaining hands-on experience in their fields of interest through research and internships.
Whether its working with NYUAD Professor of Economics Yaw Nyarko and his team at the Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED) in a small town in Ghana surveying the local population or traveling to the Gran Sasso National Laboratory in Italy to work with the world’s leading physicists to understand dark matter, our students extend their learning beyond the classroom even during the summer.
By working directly with organizations and professionals, students develop critical skills and cross-cultural understanding, enhancing both their personal and academic growth with professional experience.
