Jobs and Internships

The Career Development Center (CDC) supports students in gaining professional experience through internships, part-time jobs, and student organizations. Students build on past experiences and choose meaningful future ones that align with personal and professional goals, shaping these experiences into tools like a meaningful CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, and strengthening interviewing and networking skills.

Local and Global Internships

Internships aren’t required, but NYUAD students love to learn outside the classroom.

Internships serve as an integral complement to coursework, orienting students to how their freshly minted academic knowledge maps onto real-world challenges and adding important skills to prepare them for the future of work.

Students have the opportunity to intern part-time during the academic semesters and full-time during the summer.

Did You Know?

The average NYUAD student completes at least three work experiences before they graduate.

Translating a College Degree to the Job Market

The CDC helps students find jobs both during their time at NYUAD and after graduation. Advisors help students experiment with different possibilities, creating work experiences that will fit — personally and professionally.

These work experiences, in the UAE and abroad, are part of what makes NYUAD students competitive — giving them the necessary skill sets to navigate a career path.

And it doesn't stop there. Finding the right job is only half of the equation, and the CDC partners with students, strategizing to secure them.
