Tiago Capote is a biologist with high expertise in bioinformatics and functional biology with a solid background in biochemistry and genomics. Tiago is interested in plant genome evolution, particularly in species adapted to middle and extreme environments. Currently, his research focus is on date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) and related wild-species genome assembly and analysis in order to understand the evolution of Phoenix species.
