Katy McAlary is an Associate Instructor with the Academic Enrichment Program. She has her B.A. in Education and English with a minor in Spanish, with graduate degrees in English: Literature, World Religions, and Anthropology with emphases in Gender Studies and Political Science. Her current research interests focus on the transculturation (and transversive reclamation/reverberation) of feminist art forms through techno-corporeal aesthetic representations. She has worked previously on trauma theory through multimodal literary devices and religious to socio-political representation for the eunuch and transgender populations. She is currently working on obtaining her doctorate.
