Jack B. Du is an artist, researcher, and educator whose practice centers around the experimentation of code as a creative medium. His research includes computational motion graphics, algorithmic design and robotic drawing, procedural generation and fabrication of physical objects, and experimental approaches to human-computer interaction. Jack’s work has been shown internationally at ARTECHOUSE NYC (USA, 2025), NYC Resistor (USA, 2025), C3 Dev Festival (Netherlands, 2024), Sikka Art and Design Festival (UAE, 2022), and Shenzhen Design Week (China, 2018).

He has led workshops at institutions such as Harvard University (USA, 2025) and DigitalFUTURES (online/global, 2023), and was a featured speaker at Zaojiu (China, 2018). His experimental motion graphics research has been published in the proceedings of the 16th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and Interaction (VINCI ‘23).

Jack holds a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU Tisch and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Interactive Media Arts from NYU Shanghai. Prior to joining NYU Abu Dhabi, Jack served as an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch.
