Moumena Chaqfeh is a Lecturer of Computer Science at NYU Abu Dhabi and an affiliated faculty member at the NYU-KAIST Global Innovation and Research Institute. Her research interests include Intelligent Transportation Systems, Mobile Web, and Human-Computer Interaction. In a rapidly evolving field that combines theory and practice, she adopts an inclusive, student-centered approach to undergraduate Computer Science instruction, placing students at the heart of the learning process.
After receiving her PhD from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in 2015, Chaqfeh did postdoctoral research at UAEU's Department of Computer and Network Engineering, contributing to various projects within the College of Information Technology and the Roadway, Transportation, and Traffic Safety Research Center. From December 2018 to August 2021, she continued her postdoctoral research in the Computer Science program at NYU Abu Dhabi.
