Fayrouz Abou Ibrahim received her BS in chemistry from Lebanese University in 2017. She has been awarded a graduate assistantship scholarship to continue her MS degree in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. During her Masters, she worked on developing new Multivariate Metal-Organic Framework materials for removing toxic organic dyes from water. Her research approach was synthesizing new porous materials using a reaction-diffusion process at room temperature to implement a green sustainable synthesis method.
After graduating with her Master's during COVID-19 in 2020, she has been selected to join the Trabolsi research lab as a Global PhD fellow to work on developing new Covalent Organic Frameworks incorporating macrocyles for optimizing host-guest interactions in the solid state.
