Yanthe Pearson

Yanthe Pearson completed her PhD in Mathematics in 2009, where she developed Discrete and Continuous Stochastic Models for Neuromorphological Data. She spent one year at New York University Langone School of Medicine as a postdoc in the department of theoretical immunology analyzing the immune systems response to simulated viral infections in mice and two years at the University of Maryland College Park in the Department of Biology to work on developing theoretical models for applications in comparative phylogenetics. In 2012 she joined the department of mathematical science at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi as an assistant professor where she taught undergraduate courses in mathematics. In the fall of 2017, she joined the functional genomics group in the center for genomics and systems biology at NYUAD as a research data scientist where she is developing data analysis methods using large volumes of HCP data derived from microscopy images of single cells to identify biologically relevant similarities and differences among samples.

Her current research is on high content screening and phenotypic profiling.
