Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)

NYUAD has established an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) that oversees and ensures the safe use of biological materials, especially those involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids, infectious agents and other biohazards. Research and teaching projects at NYUAD that involve work with biological materials must be registered with the IBC and comply with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules.

To submit your research for IBC review, please log onto the EHS Biosafety platform and complete the form(s). While Principal Investigators (PIs) can delegate lab members to complete the registration, only the PI can officially submit it.
