Faculty and Instructors —Placing Items on Course Reserves
- Faculty can request that items be placed on course reserve for any current course they are teaching.
- Instructors may submit a syllabus with their requests, but this is not required for processing.
Library items can be pulled from the stacks by circulation staff. Any personal copies or photocopies for reserve should be brought to the library by the instructor.
Reserves for library materials take 2-3 days for processing. Please keep this turnaround time in mind when placing items on reserve, so it can be ready when your students need to use the items.

How to Place Items on Course Reserve
To place an item on course reserve, faculty should contact the access services department (firstname.lastname@example.org) and provide the following information:
Loan schedule: two-, three-, or five-hour loan
A confirmation email will be sent to you once the request has been completely processed.
Students — Course Reserves Access
Students can visit the Library Information Desk to ask for course reserves by telling Library staff the name of the course the book is held under, and/or the professor’s name and the title of the book. Items will have a two-, three-, or five-hour loan period.
