Fabrication of Tailored Membranes for Desalination of Arabia Gulf Water

This project deals with fabrication of membranes for high salinity water such as that old the Arabian gulf.  The approach is based on studying fouling properties at the nanoscale and developing membranes to be tested at the bench scale over extended periods of time.

The center has unique facilities to fabricate membrane modules of similar size to those used in industry and testing them on pilots. This is facilitated through the unique experimental settings available at the center.
