Working for the Library

The NYUAD Library employs students on an hourly basis — through the Student Assistantship program — in positions that are both challenging and responsible. We offer a supportive working environment; opportunities to interact with members of NYUAD community, public, and Library staff; varied duties and valuable work experience allowing students to learn more about the Library while gaining a hands-on experience with the operations of academic libraries.

Our student assistants report that, through their work in the Library, they learn about new resources and services, acquire new skills and proficiency with new technologies that can be transferred to their academic endeavors and future roles.

Benefits of working in the Library:

  • No experience required
  • Flexible hours scheduled around your classes
  • Gain experience to begin building your resume
  • Learn successful researching tips
