Library Study Spaces

The Library provides comfortable reading areas, dedicated computing spaces and small and large group study rooms to create a productive atmosphere for research.

Library Main Floor

In addition to housing the Library’s print collection, the main level of the Library provides several different areas to meet academic needs.

Computers

Numerous Mac and PC machines with a wide array of hardware and software are available for use. Computers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Numerous printer/scanner/copier machines are also located throughout both floors of the Library.

Meeting Rooms

The Library has several small and large group meeting rooms that are available for reservation through the EMS Space Reservation System. Please note that the booking of all Library spaces is limited to NYUAD staff and faculty. More information on booking spaces across campus can be found in the student portal and faculty/staff intranet.

Leisure Reading

Take a break from your academic reading! Our Leisure Reading collection of popular fiction and nonfiction titles are available for checkout for a two-week period. We also welcome suggestions for the Leisure Reading collection in our suggestion box located on the shelves.

Seating Areas

Multiple soft-seating areas where students relax and take a break from academics.

Library Mezzanine Floor

Reading Room

Looking for a quiet space to study? The dedicated Reading Room upstairs on the Mezzanine level provides plenty of space for students to focus on their research in a relaxed and quiet environment. The Library’s print periodicals collection is also found here.

Group Study Rooms

The Library has several Group Study Rooms available on a first-come, first-serve basis for student use only. These range in size from two- to ten-person rooms, some with AV systems to support group presentations.

Rolling Lockers for Senior Students

Rolling lockers, located on the Mezzanine Level, are available for senior students to check out. Senior study rolling lockers provide you a personal space so ongoing work may be left in the Library.

To apply for a rolling locker, please email lib-nyuad-circ@nyu.edu. You will be notified within a week as to which rolling locker you have been assigned.

Rolling lockers are available for senior students.
