About the Library
Service to faculty, students, and scholars is the primary mission of the NYU Abu Dhabi Library. We provide the resources necessary for research and teaching, and offer assistance in their use. Members of the NYU community have access to our extensive range of physical and electronic resources, including:
- over 91,000 physical books
- over 7.400 DVDs
- over 416,000 e-journals
- over 1,400 databases
- nearly 5 million ebooks
The NYUAD Library is fully connected to the electronic resources of NYU Libraries in New York, providing seamless access for our global community. These e-resources are accessible within the library and remotely. Eligible borrowers may request print resources from NYU Bobst Library or other libraries worldwide via Interlibrary Loan.
Comfortable reading areas and small and large group study rooms create a productive atmosphere for research. The dedicated Reading Room on the Mezzanine level provides plenty of space for students to focus on their research in a relaxed environment. Research assistance is available via phone, email, chat, and in-person at our Research Help Desk. By appointment, librarians are available to meet individually with students and faculty to help them with their research needs.
Engagement and Impact Report
Every fall, we create the NYUAD Library Engagement and Impact Report, which summarizes the Library's activities, events, and impact for the previous academic year. It presents both a high-level and granular overview of the many ways we support the success of our users and the university's mission.
