The Hilary Ballon Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at NYU Abu Dhabi is dedicated to developing leaders through interdisciplinary exposure, close faculty-student interaction and experiential learning.

It is critical to understand who the NYUAD learner is to support effective teaching and deeper student learning. Each learner from our diverse student body is distinctive, but they all share a desire to learn, and to live together in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Trauma Informed Pedagogy
The challenges brought forth by global disruptions, COVID-19, natural disasters and conflict, mean that our student body is experiencing a combination of traumas at this time.
