Maria Grigoryeva is a sociologist who studies crime, deviance, and information management — including keeping secrets, lying, privacy, and exploitation of existing information asymmetries.
Her current projects explore normative sources of information management and examine whether individuals conceal information in order to gain autonomy from others. Grigoryeva received her PhD in sociology from the University of Washington.
