Professor Percipalle received his PhD in molecular genetics from the International School for Advanced Studies, Trieste, Italy. He then held post-doctoral positions at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, where he worked on the mechanisms of nucleocytoplasmic transport and at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, where he focused his research activities on elucidating the functional architecture of the cell nucleus. He presently holds a Guest Professor position in the Department of Molecular Biosciences, the Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University. Before joining NYUAD, he was Associate Professor of Cell Biology in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Karolinska Institute.
