Saeed Hamdan is an Associate Instructor in the Civil and Urban Engineering Department at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Sharjah (Honors, 2019) and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the same institution (Honors, 2025), specializing in pavement engineering and sustainable materials. His academic background integrates structural, transportation, and environmental aspects of civil engineering with a strong focus on innovative pavement technologies.

Before joining NYUAD, Hamdan served as an Assistant Instructor in the Civil Engineering Department at Ajman University, where he led laboratory and tutorial sessions across several core courses. He also co-supervised the Civil Engineering Club and the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) Student Chapter, contributing to student engagement, competitions, and professional development initiatives.

Hamdan’s research focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence with civil engineering applications and focusing on pavement engineering to enhance infrastructure performance and sustainability. He has co-authored publications on traffic accident severity prediction using AI and the rheological characterization of transparent asphalt, underscoring his dedication to advancing intelligent, resilient, and environmentally responsible transportation systems.
