Abdullah Aref is an Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the King Hussein School of Computing Sciences, Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), in Amman, Jordan, joining NYU Abu Dhabi as a Visiting Professor of Computer Engineering, where he teaches Operating Systems and Computer Networks. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa (2018) and a Certificate in University Teaching. Prior to his academic career, he worked in industry as a Data Science Team Lead, an experience that continues to inform his teaching in big data systems, cloud computing, and data engineering.

Aref's research interests center on AI for Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing, and Multi-Agent Systems. His current work includes a multi-agent LLM  for software testing, examining how coordinated LLM agents can be applied to test generation and evaluation. At PSUT, he teaches across the Data Science and Computer Science curricula, including PhD- and Master's-level Big Data courses and an undergraduate track in Generative AI application development, AI, Operating Systems, as well as programming courses.
