As Assistant Director, Shared Governance and Policy Planning, Karen is charged with conceptualizing, overseeing and coordinating institutional policy planning and strategic development in the area of shared governance.  

Karen provides high level strategic and advisory support to the NYUAD shared governance structures, and facilitates effective communication between the governance structures.  Additionally, she acts as a strategic liaison of NYUAD’s governance system to the larger NYU governance bodies and structures, and acts as parliamentarian for all institutional, divisional, and departmental governance structures.

Karen is the primary point of contact within NYUAD for information and advice on principles, structures, and practical application of shared governance.
