Anjana Ramdas Nair

Postdoctoral Associate Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi
Education: PhD, University of Basel, Switzerland (2015)

Research Websites: Sadler Edepli Lab

Research Areas: Adaptive unfolded protein response (UPR: the ER stress pathway) in Fatty Liver Disease (FLD)

After completing her schooling in The Indian High School, Dubai, Anjana went to India to pursue her BE Biotechnology in Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, which she completed in 2009. Thereafter, she received her MSc Biotechnology from the University of Manchester, UK in 2010. Soon after, she started her PhD in Cell Biology under Professor Clemens Cabernard in University of Basel investigating centrosome asymmetry in asymmetrically dividing Drosophila neuroblasts. She received her PhD in 2015 and continued as a post-doctoral researcher for 6 months before relocating to Abu Dhabi.

In Kirsten Sadler Edepli's lab, she is working towards better understanding adaptive unfolded protein response (UPR: the ER stress pathway) in Fatty Liver Disease (FLD) using zebrafish as model.
