How do you define the role of an Emirati woman in the workplace and in society?
As an Emirati woman, I feel a responsibility to support and show solidarity with all women, as our struggles are inextricably interconnected. This responsibility guides me both inside and outside the workplace.
How does your workplace at NYUAD empower Emirati women like yourself to pursue your goals and aspirations?
NYUAD has provided me with an environment where I can interact and develop relationships with a diverse range of people, allowing me to continuously reflect, learn and grow. My role at NYUAD also allows me to play a positive role in society, as I help young people achieve their educational goals.
Which significant Emirati woman/women in your life (whom you know personally or in general) has inspired you that you'd like to highlight on Emirati Women's Day, and why?
My mother and three sisters are the Emirati women who have most inspired me. Their collective courage in the face of a wide range of challenges has, and continues to, push the boundaries of what is possible for me as an Emirati woman.
