The NYUAD Library Memory Project facilitates and records short oral history sessions in which two to four partners come together to share stories, important projects, memories, relationships, and other historical moments that have shaped their academic, social, and cultural experiences at NYUAD.
How to Participate
There are two ways to participate in recording interviews for the NYUAD Memory Project:
- Facilitated Zoom session: Contact the team to set up a facilitated session with you and a partner(s), or to organize multiple sessions for your NYUAD department, program, or group, via Zoom. Contact us at nyuad.memory@nyu.edu (in-person interviewing is currently on hold).
- DIY memory recordings: Organize a “DIY” session and record your memories, from anywhere. Invite a friend, colleague, instructor, teammate, spouse, mentor, or fellow community member to participate with you. Instructions and guidelines provided. A pre-session consultation is also available.
If you would like to schedule multiple sessions for your department, group, or office, please contact us at nyuad.memory@nyu.edu. We would love to partner with you to arrange for community storytelling.
