Service to scholars is the primary mission of the NYU Abu Dhabi Library. We provide resources and technologies needed for research and teaching and offer assistance in their use. Members of the NYU community have access to our extensive, and growing, range of physical and electronic resources, all of which are searchable through Bobcat, our online catalog.
Our resources include:
The Library is also home to rare and unique primary sources to support, enrich, and augment the research interests of students and faculty via our Archives and Special Collections unit. Our Arabic Collections Online project provides access to a publicly available digital library of public domain Arabic language content, providing digital access to printed books drawn from rich Arabic collections of prominent libraries.
The NYUAD Library is fully connected to NYU Libraries e-resources in New York, providing seamless access for our global scholars. These electronic resources are accessible within the library and remotely. Additionally, if a resource cannot be found in the main collection, eligible borrowers may request it from NYU Bobst Library or other libraries around the world. NYUAD scholars may also suggest we purchase an item to add to our permanent collection.
