NYU Abu Dhabi has recruited a cohort of faculty who are at once distinguished in their research and teaching. Our students are drawn from around the world and surpass all traditional recruitment benchmarks, both US and global.

NYUAD faculty research benefits from the NYU Abu Dhabi Institute for advanced research, sponsoring cutting-edge projects across the arts and humanities, engineering, science, and social science.

Career Development and Advancement Workshops

Do you know what 3rd year review entails? Have questions about the timeline for contract renewal or tenure? Do you know what a faculty committee is? in the session, you will learn to review about how faculty advance at NYUAD and will hear from fellow faculty who can provide their own perspective and experience with this process. This monthly lunchtime series is designed specifically for faculty members. The topics are related to career development and the interactive sessions are intended to provide information, skills, and guidance on a range of issues that impact faculty career advancement. Sessions also provide an opportunity for faculty to engage with campus leadership, administrators, and peers on topics relevant to thriving as a faculty member at NYUAD.

Food for Thought Workshop

Please note, registration is open to NYUAD Faculty only.
We have launched a series of Virtual Workshops to accommodate remote working and faculty who are on the go. These are a series of short videos from experts in each of the topics as well as useful resources relevant to NYUAD faculty members including publishing a journal article, the student’s perspective of learning at NYUAD and strategies for successful collaborations.

Faculty leadership development is important at all stages of the career trajectory. Workshops and other initiatives to advance the leadership skills for faculty members who hold academic leadership appointments as well as for emerging leaders are hosted throughout the semester. The Program Head Academy is the flagship program.
