Long Time Behavior and Singularity Formation in PDEs: Part VII

Conference

WHEN December 10-14, 2024
WHERE NYUAD campus and on Zoom WHO Research Center on Stability, Instability, and Turbulence By Invitation Interested scholars please contact nyuad.SITE@nyu.edu

Participation is free but registration is mandatory.

The primary objective of this on-campus and online conference is to explore the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the nonlinear analysis of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) within the context of fluid dynamics. We aim to foster a vibrant exchange of ideas and collaboration among a diverse assembly of esteemed international experts and promising junior researchers. The conference will delve into a wide range of topics, facilitating deep discussions and innovative solutions in this dynamic field. This conference will serve as a specialized forum within the broader 14th AIMS Conference.

Topics of Focus

Key focus areas include exploring long-term behavior of solutions to fluid PDEs, singularity formation in fluid dynamics, stability and instability phenomena in fluid flows, scaling limits in fluid dynamics equations, asymptotic analysis and singular perturbation problems, boundary layer phenomena in fluid systems, turbulence and mixing in fluid dynamics.

Junior Participants

Junior Participants are encouraged to apply for funding and showcase their work through a poster presentation upon registration.  Priority will be given to applicants meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  • Students belonging to underrepresented groups
  • Students presenting posters
  • Applicants lacking alternative financial support

Junior Participant Registration

The deadline for funding applications is November 15, 2024.
