My non-academic life at NYU Abu Dhabi shaped how I think about and interact with the world around me. Serving in leadership positions for student groups, doing community outreach, and working as a Residential Assistant helped me identify my passion for education and community engagement. It was in these roles that I learned the importance of effective communication, time management, and professionalism, which are skills that have become invaluable in my current role.
I establish and maintain relationships between IIE and other organizations in the region. I primarily work as an outreach officer for NYUAD along with the NYUAD admissions team. I travel throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to meet and speak with students, counselors, educators and organizations. Together, we identify some of the brightest students in Africa who would thrive at the University.
Having studied at NYUAD myself, I really enjoy contributing to making that same opportunity available to other students across the continent. I also love being able to travel to different countries to meet young people each with a passion for transforming their communities and the world.
