Folker de Witte is an Adjunct Lecturer of the Business, Organizations and Society Major in the Social Sciences Division at NYU Abu Dhabi. His research interests cover topics in financial market and business regulation, with a focus on sustainable finance and corporate social responsibility.

He is currently a PhD Candidate at the European University Institute (expected graduation date February 2025). He holds two LLMs in Legal Research (Groningen University) and Comparative, European and International Law (European University Institute) and a LLB in law (Utrecht University).

Before joining NYUAD, he worked as a Policy Advisor in the Financial Markets Policy Directorate at the Dutch Ministry of Finance, where he was a member of the Sustainable Finance Expert Group. He also served as a Teaching Associate at the Florence School of Banking and Finance.
