Dr. Rahwan was invited as a keynote speakerat IC2S2-2024 (the International Conference on Computational Social Science); the main conference in our field.
Dr. Rahwan received the Best Parallel Talk Award for the paper: “Perception, performance, and detectability of conversational artificial intelligence across 32 university courses.”
Dr. Rahwan also received the Best Poster Award for the paper: “Big Tech Dominance Despite Global Mistrust.”
AI’s 10 to Watch:
Dr. Rahwan was selected by the IEEE Computer Society as one of AI’s 10 to Watch. The list is published every two years by IEEE Intelligent Systems, in recognition of the 10 most promising, young AI scientists worldwide.
Distinguished Dissertation Award:
Dr. Rahwan received the British Computer Society’s Distinguished Dissertation Award, which annually recognizes the most outstanding PhD thesis in the UK in computer science.
Dean Award for Early Career Researchers
Dr. Rahwan was selected by the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Engineering (at the University of Southampton) as a recipient of the Dean Awards for Early Career Researchers.
