The Office of Partnership and Protocol develops comprehensive approaches to relationships between NYU Abu Dhabi and the external community to realize full potentials which are rewarding, sustainable, and complementary to the priorities of the university and the UAE.

Collaboration and exchange with the UAE community are at the heart of NYUAD’s engagement principles. Through our strategies, we discover priorities, enable relationships, cultivate initiatives, and capitalize on opportunities. This activates the necessary understanding, contribution, and advancement to be a part of Abu Dhabi's transformation into one of the next great idea capitals, a magnetic center of ideas, education, and talent.

Leader Profile

Meyada Bin Essa serves as the Senior Advisor of Protocol and Strategic Engagement at NYU Abu Dhabi. In her role, she provides guidance for NYUAD on various topics such as community engagement, stakeholder management, policy, and communications, with a focus on enhancing the university's reputation, coordinating engagement efforts, expanding its network, and promoting international collaboration.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Meyada has held leadership roles in Student Affairs, Admissions, Marketing, Public Relations, and Events. Meyada earned her Master's in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire.
