Shared Governance

NYUAD is committed to the principles of shared governance and consultative decision-making. To put these principles into practice, the University has established representative bodies through which members of the NYUAD community contribute to institutional decision-making in an advisory capacity.

Each constituency—including faculty, staff, students (undergraduate and graduate), and postdoctoral associates—has its own representative body. Through these bodies, members meet regularly to gather feedback and share it with NYUAD leadership, ensuring meaningful participation in the University’s decision-making processes.

As part of the NYU Global Network, NYUAD representatives also serve on the University Senate and a variety of other global university committees.
