The Office of Academic Administration Planning support the Academic Strategy by providing administrative leadership in collaboration with respective stakeholders across the university to ensure alignment of the strategic priorities and goals.
Working in collaboration with the Office of Strategy and Planning and other key stakeholders across the university, Academic Administration and Planning facilitate the annual academic and administrative planning process within the provost office.
Sinikhiwe is the Assistant Provost for Academic Administration, Resource Planning and Implementation. Sinikhiwe (Niki) brings more that 15 years of experience in higher education. Prior to joining NYUAD in January 2022, she worked at McGill University, one of the top research universities in Canada, where she was Director of Finance and Administration at the School of Continuing Studies. In her role at NYUAD, Niki is responsible for overseeing the fiscal affairs of the Office of the Provost and its respective units, including research programs. Niki also serves as a crucial thought partner for the Executive Director of Finance and budget and the Vice Provost, to provide oversight and effective administration of the support infrastructure of budgetary operations in all academic units. Niki completed an MBA at Laurentian University, and she is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
At NYU Abu Dhabi, Sinikhiwe is responsible for ensuring the integration of strategic priorities and goals in the operational planning process through a systematic, data-driven approach. Sinikhiwe also oversees the offices of Academic Appointments, Resource Management and Fiscal Affairs, and the Office of the Provost.
