New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Assessment and Curriculum Review Manager reporting to the Senior Director, Accreditation and Curricular Affairs.
This position oversees assessment efforts related to the effectiveness of academic programs at NYU Abu Dhabi – providing insight fundamental to continuous improvement in the academic space related to internal continuous improvement and external changes in the regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Annual Program Assessment reporting cycle; Liaise with colleagues in NY to maintain and update NYUAD’s assessment strategy reporting
- Manage curricular documentation (syllabi, course reviews, archiving) in line with accreditation and internal requirements
- Provide assistance and guidance to faculty in adapting assessments to accreditation requirements and reporting on the same; employ a data-driven approach to program assessment and review processes
- Facilitate rubric creation and assessment benchmarking of Student Learning Outcomes with program and departmental leadership through regular training workshops and outreach; Workshops can be stand-alone or in collaboration with HBCTL or CFA
- Assist faculty and other stakeholders in cascading and mapping PLOs, CLOs, and assessments to each other, as well as to QFEmirates, as required for accreditation and internal curriculum review processes
- Assist in accreditation data submission coordination, visits, and follow-ups; maintain appropriate internal processes and program documentation
- Manages and provides support for existing assessment tools and software. Independently drives the strategic development and enhancements to existing tools, while exploring and making recommendations as to alternative products and/or methodologies for assessment
- Develop analytics and tools with IR that relate to seamless reporting of academic assessment measures
- Track and interpret evolving frameworks and advise on policy implications; keep abreast of trends in AI as they relate to assessment requirements and processes and incorporate them in faculty trainings; work with relevant personnel across campus on these initiatives
- Attend professional development training sponsored by the above departments and others to ensure the current practices are aligned with institutional and external needs, goals, and requirements
- Collaborate with the Manager, Accreditation and Program Development on all aspects of accreditation and assessment
- Perform other tasks as required
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education:
- Master's degree
Required Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in higher education
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Facility with appropriate software, MS Office, Survey software, data analysis
- Ability to interact professionally with program leadership
Preferred Experience:
- More than 5 years of assessment and curriculum management experience in higher education
- Arabic proficiency
