Working Group in African Political Economy

Since its inception, Working Group in African Political Economy (WGAPE) has become a premier venue for scholarly exchange and academic networking for researchers of Africa. WGAPE’s homepage shows the reach of the WGAPE network, with present and former participants in top political science and economics departments across the United States.

Hosting WGAPE@NYUAD provided an unprecedented opportunity to draw scholars from around the world to our new campus to meet and discuss research at world-class research university. WGAPE@NYUAD expanded the standard WGAPE format given the unique location of NYUAD and the aim for WGAPE to increase ties between research inside and those outside of Africa, inviting a number of scholars from the African continent.
