Yazan Ibrahim is a graduate research assistant enrolled in the Chemical Engineering PhD program at New York University (NYU). He is currently performing research at the NYU Abu Dhabi Water Research Center (WRC) that focuses on membrane fouling mitigation. His research uses modern fouling mitigation techniques such as 3D Printing and simulation. Before joining NYUAD, Yazan received his Master's degree in Water and Environmental Engineering from Khalifa University, UAE. He also worked as a research associate at Khalifa University, where his research focused on polymeric membrane fabrication, synthesis of nanomaterials, and material functionalization for wastewater treatment applications.
Research
Yazan is currently working on utilizing 3D printing in developing novel membranes with superior anti-fouling performance. A part of his research involves the development of innovative 3D Printed material for water treatment.
