In the Future, How will we Live?

Dr. Nidal Hilal, director of NYUAD-WRC was joined by a panel of academic and industry leads to share knowledge and discuss new directions in water research to benefit mankind.  Dr. Nidal Hilal, emphasised the importance of low energy desalination to ensure sustainable future water for all. He participated in a series of online sessions discussing how the latest innovations in renewable energy, resources, and smart city technology can drive solutions to the global challenges set to define a generation.

The Middle East Section of the 2021 UAE Energy Forum took place on January 13, with Nidal Hilal, Professor of Engineering & Director of the NYUAD Water Research Center as one of the featured speakers. Professor Hilal was accompanied by Sanjiv Gokhale, Global Professor of Civil Engineering, New York University and the spoke on the topic, “Outlook for Policy Balance with Water, Food, Energy Nexus in 2021?”.
