Chris is a multidisciplinary researcher who investigates stress dynamics across occupational, sport, and educational psychology contexts. In his research, he has previously focused on defining and measuring resilience in longitudinal studies in the workplace. His current research within NYUAD Teaching, Learning, and Development Lab is focused on understanding support and stress processes and among expatriate teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research project integrates both the biological determinates of stress (HPA axis and ANS activation) together with longitudinal survey data to advance theories regarding coping strategies in the workplace. Further research interests include the study of organized youth sport and exercise programs as a function of positive youth development and developing resilience and in the workplace.
