Research Areas: Construction Automation and Robotics Artificial Intelligence
Xinghui Xu is a Ph.D. candidate of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), He is a member of the S.M.A.R.T. Construction Research Group at NYUAD under Professor Borja García de Soto’s instruction.
Xinghui conducts research in the areas of automation and robotics in construction, machine learning, and digital twins’ construction. He is much into on-site construction robotic applications with several papers published. In S.M.A.R.T. Construction Research Group, he focuses on training the on-site robot with advanced algorithms in-game engine to provide reliable simulation outcomes. He also has extensive experience in cooperating with the industry as a researcher on construction management.
Xinghui holds an MSc in Civil and Environment Engineering with a concentration in engineering and project management from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (UM), and a BSc in Civil Engineering specific in construction management from the Tsinghua University (THU), China.
