Rishikesh Gajjala completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He subsequently earned his Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science in 2025.

During his doctoral studies, Gajjala worked on quantum distributed algorithms at Aalto University in Finland and on the use of SAT solvers for designing new quantum states at Rice University. Following the completion of his PhD, he joined NYU Abu Dhabi as a Postdoctoral Associate. His research interests lie broadly in theoretical computer science, with a particular focus on graph theory, quantum computing, and quantum information.
