Alejandro Guerra Manzanares is a postdoctoral associate at the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES) at NYU Abu Dhabi. Before joining NYU, he was a researcher at the Center for Digital Forensics and Cyber Security, Department of Software Science, at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Information Technology in 2022. Previously, he received a BA degree in criminology (cum laude) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2013 and a BS degree in ICT engineering (cum laude) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) in 2017. In 2018, he received an M.Sc. in cybersecurity (cum laude) from Tallinn University of Technology. His research interests focus on the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, where he has published 15 scientific articles in the areas of Android malware detection and IoT botnet detection.
