Othman Benomar
Othman Benomar studied at the Orsay Paris-sud 11 University (France) where he undertook a Masters in Applied Physics, followed by a Master in Plasma Physics. His PhD on stellar astrophysics was achieved in 2010 and focused on Stellar seismology. During the PhD he developed new statistical methods in order to analyze solar-like stars pulsations.
Othman Benomar pursued his research at the University of Sydney (SiFa group) from 2010 to 2013 and then at the University of Tokyo as a JSPS fellow between 2013 and 2015. He has been appointed as Postdoctoral Associate at the New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) Center for Space Science since November 2015.
