Laurent Gizon
Laurent Gizon studies the interior of the Sun and stars to learn about rotation, convection, and magnetic activity. He develops methods of seismology to analyze space observations of solar and stellar oscillations. Some of these methods are directly relevant to exploration geophysics. He is also the director of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Goettingen, Germany.
