Dimitrios Kantzas is currently a CASS Fellow at NYUAD. He holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam and BSc and MSc degrees in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique Théorique (LAPTh) in Annecy, France. His research focuses on theoretical astrophysics and high-energy phenomena, particularly studying the non-thermal radiation from black hole X-ray binary jets, using lepto-hadronic models. His work also involves deciphering gamma-ray emissions as a member of CTAO, analyzing the contribution of these sources to the cosmic-ray and neutrino spectra, and investigating indirect dark matter detection.
