Research Areas: Turbulent thermal convection; Astrophysical convection
Ambrish Pandey's research focusses on the understanding of turbulent flows in nature, which are primarily driven by thermal convection. He mainly uses direct numerical simulations to explore the characteristics of natural convective flows.
Ambrish worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany, and obtained his MSc-PhD degree in 2016 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He earned his BSc degree in Physics from the Banaras Hindu University, India.
