Spyridon Tarantos

Spyridon Tarantos received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2017. He received his PhD in Automatic Control, Bioengineering, and Operations Research from Sapienza University of Rome in 2023. He has been a research fellow in the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome, affiliated with the DIAG Robotics Lab. He is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at New York University of Abu Dhabi. His research interests lie in the area of robotics and control with an emphasis on real-time motion generation using Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC). His research interests also include mobile robot navigation in dynamic environments, ground and underwater mobile manipulation.
