Firstly, the academic knowledge gained as an Economics major and Political Science Minor at NYUAD has established a strong foundation for me to better understand International Relations at the graduate level. The many experiences I gained from my summer internships and study abroad experiences sponsored by NYUAD enabled me to engage in constructive dialogs with my colleagues, even without having full-time work experience. Finally, the diversity and multicultural learning environment at NYUAD definitely prepared me to excel in the field of Global Affairs.
The International Political Economy course with Professor Sujeong Shim sparked in me the interest to be a scholar in the field. I witnessed how this field worked in practice during my internships, especially during my research internship at the Library of Congress during my study away in NYU Washington DC.

I am currently completing my Master in Global Affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University in China. My interest in Global Affairs, China’s role in it and finding my place in these affairs as a future leader inspired me to apply for this program. I most enjoy the people I am around and interact with.
In the long term, I hope to become a Professor of International Political Economy.
