NYU President Andrew Hamilton can add desert dune climbing to his already impressive list of accomplishments.
Hamilton, NYU's 16th president, visited NYU Abu Dhabi for a few days in early March to shake hands with community members and experience local culture and traditions, which included a crash course in falconry and impromptu dance party in the desert.
I am thrilled to be part of NYU because what I found is a university with its eyes focussed very firmly on the future and what matters in the world of the 21st century.
In a campus speech, Hamilton said NYU is playing a central role on the global stage to address challenges like migration and climate change.
