Our Social Sciences and Data Librarian offers assistance with the discovery, acquisition, and use of social science data resources to promote research data management, data literacy, and use of data resources for the NYUAD community. The Social Sciences and Data Librarian works closely with the Geospatial Services Librarian and the Center for Digital Scholarship to build coordinated services and develop relationships with faculty and students for research and courses, as well as student Capstones.
The Social Sciences and Data Librarian provides the following services:
Provides consultations in support of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses.
Supports faculty using data-driven assignments through course integrated library instruction.
Builds and promotes data collections and services in the social sciences.
Serves as subject liaison to economics, political science and SSRP program.

Center for Digital Scholarship
Located in the NYU Abu Dhabi Library, the Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS) provides expert assistance to NYUAD scholars on digital research projects, geospatial data services, guidance and equipment for reformatting media for preservation, incorporating visual media into research and teaching, and support for NYU’s enterprise technology tools. The CDS is also an incubator for faculty-led projects that incorporate library resources, systems, tools, and methodologies.
