Hamdan Zoghbor
During our study away semester in New York, we observed Ramadan, though we deeply missed the familiar tastes of home and the warmth of shared company.
To bring a slice of home to us, Jenna planned an iftar that could have fed a small village. She took charge as the head chef, while the rest of us helped by eating the dishes (I also cleaned one plate). Despite the chaos and hectic pace, the iftar was filled with all the ingredients of nostalgia and sincerity that reflected our common yet diverse backgrounds.
The food was simply incredible, but the company was even better.
